What is Deadsink?

Deadsink is an online video-viewing/sharing website where viewers can watch a variety of high caliber and professionally produced free short films, animations, music videos, webisodes and more, in many genres, made by talented filmmakers from all over the world.

Alternatively, Deadsink provides a unique opportunity and avenue for independent filmmakers to exhibit their short films to a large viewing audience, where countless possibilities lie, alongside other similarly talented filmmakers, in a format where many can watch from all around the globe.

What types of videos is Deadsink looking for?

Deadsink is primarily interested in short films, animations, music videos, webisodes and the like, which are produced in a professional manner by independent filmmakers.

We accept film submissions in most any genre and length, so long as they adhere to our film submission guidelines and our terms of use.

How do I upload a video?

Uploading a video is a very quick and simple process. Go to our film submission page and submit your film by either uploading the film directly from your desktop or by submitting a link to your video online, be it on Youtube, Vimeo, your blog, personal site, or any other form of online hosting.

Along with your submission, please include a brief description of the film, the genre and a list of all principle cast and crew.

Be sure to read our film submission guidelines and our terms of use before submitting your film.

If you have any further questions or are having a difficult time submitting a film, please contact us at submissions@deadsink.com.

If something is wrong with a video or if there are errors in the description, what should I do?

For support with technical errors or incorrect film descriptions, please contact us at info@deadsink.com.

We appreciate being made aware of technical errors on our site, so that we might have the opportunity to remedy them.

If someone has violated a copyright, who should I notify?

Copyright violation is a matter we take very seriously. Please bring any copryright violations to our attention immediately by sending an email to copyright@deadsink.com.

We make our best effort to screen all submissions for copyright violations and will immediately remove any material found to contain any such violations.

How does a film get featured?

Primarily, a film will be featured on Deadsink if it is found to demonstrate a particularly high standard of filmmaking and exemplifies the type of films we strive to showcase. These featured films are chosen during the submission process by our team and cannot be requested otherwise.

Additionally, the winner of our annual "Artifex" online short film festival will be featured on the Deadsink short films collection page for a period of time after the announcement of the festival winners.

Is Deadsink a free short films service?

Absolutely. The Deadsink collection of short films is free to watch online with no registration required.

At some point in the future we will be offering a paid subscription to additional Deadsink features and films, but this paid service will not be released for some time. However, even when this paid service is released, we will still be offering our short films collection for free.

Do you have to be a Deadsink member to watch free short films?

No. Deadsink's collection of short films is free to watch with no registration required. While we will be offering a Deadsink membership feature in the future, the short films collection will always be free of registration and fees.

How can I stay current with all the newly added short films?
